 he Coconut Palm Basket
This St. Lucian artist learned palm basket weaving from his
Grandmother. The baskets last a lifetime and can pack flat. They will not loose their shape, they are supple and green.
After 4-6 weeks they turn to natural ash color and can be spray painted. Or put them in the freezer overnight while still green. Remove and let
them sit for a day. They turn a beautiful mahogany color. Baskets make great centerpieces for your table. I spray paint mine gold or red for the holidays. Availability dependent upon weather.
